Segway and me! - 08-03-2008, 10:19 PM

I am in Palo Alto, CA today and went to a car show and they had "Segway Polo", so I gave a Segway a try. Pretty cool vehicle!

I love these things. We patrol the airport on them. Kinda strange getting used to, but fun to drive!

We have seen them at just about every airport we've been to and notice that here in Silicon Valley the mall security guards use them as well. Makes sense to get somewhere faster than walking when you cover a lot of ground.

It was weird for the first few minutes and then you quickly get used to it. It was a fun ride.

Anyone see Wall-e?

Segways are just the first step towards hover chairs.

I rode one a couple years ago at Snow Canyon State Park in Utah. It was a blast.... but don't try to take photos while you think you are stopped. This thing has a mind of it's own; just a slight movement of your balance and it takes off (unless you actually turn it off).
