Vista SP1 - 08-05-2008, 11:35 PM

Has anyone installed the sp1? It's never a good time for my computer to be down but right now I'm doing triple time on it and don't want to have to add to my load. I know it says it will take several hours but I don't want to have to hunt down drivers when it's done.

i installed it quite some time ago - while i had no issues with the actual installation as such - there were some 'differences' that it took a bit figure out. i can't remember at the moment what those were - but it was something minor to do with my outlook program.

I installed it on my desktop ages ago and didn't have any problems. I remember that it made minor changes to Vista but can't remember what they were. I also remember that I saw NO change in system performance or stability. I would suggest installing it despite that because of the security holes that were patched with it.

I installed SP1 at the same time that I built my machine and installed Vista Ultimate. The only issues that I've had were related more to drivers than to the O/S. Other than that, it's been rock solid.
