Back when I was "into" this nonsense some of this was actually taken seriously.
I highly suspect more than a few "photographers" buy into this as well....but not at TPF!

That's insane. It would be even more insane to use that cable with digital gear.
Analog. The natural way.

That cable is for pro's so I won't go anywhere near it. not just any pro but immortal pro's.

Audiophiles?
Yeah.. I used to be sorta one myself. My cousin is into this stuff heavily. Also into collecting tube amps, receivers, etc...
I do laugh when I see people buying $100+ HDMI cables these days... People that do that should have Audiophile permanently stripped from their hobby title.
As mentioned, 1s and 0s... As long as the signal gets to the other side intact, there is no difference. I love my $5 HDMI/Optical/Coaxial cables from monoprice.com.

Actually, in an old life I was a recording engineer. Very familiar with Analog multitrack tape and such...

It looks like rj45 connectors on the ends. and that one guy said he connected his printer to his switch with it. wtf. I would think fiber is a much better way to go than wire.
When I was building my house I came across an article by one of the audio gurus talking about speaker wire. He tested all these high dollar wires and at the same time tested some normal every day lamp cord wire. got the same results from the lamp cord as the high end speaker wire. needless to say I went with the cheaper heavy gauge speaker wire for the house. Saved hundreds.

I actually bought one of those cords and plugged it up to my 40d. It now takes 57 megapixel pictures and 500fps. I can take it above 3200ISO with zero noise. I can shoot at 1.2 even though my lens maxes out at 2.8.
You guys can call me an idiot, but this cable was the best purchase I've ever made.

I plugged it into my head and just visualize the images. No need for lenses, it just transfers directly to the memory card.
