Hey guys,

Im new to photography, in fact I wouldnt even say Im "in photography" yet. I own a Canon S2 point and shoot camera. I really enjoy admiring photography, and I think I have a good eye for seeing good photos, but not sure Im that great at taking them.

I have wanted to get a SLR camera for a long time so I can play with low light, bokeh, etc scenarios that I cannot do with my S2.

Well today I pulled the trigger and purchased a Canon 30D from a guy on this site. It comes with grip, extra battery and seems to be very new. so here is my question....


I have 2 children that I would like to get some pictures taken. Instead of just taking them to studio inside the mall or something, I was thinking of hiring someone who can do some cool outdoor shots or something... then maybe while you are doing that, you can give me some tips/advice...

anyone interested? Im in Mansfield, TX and not really sure where or what we want as far as pictures go, just something cool. Maybe if you have a website to show off some of your work that be great....

If you want to try it, adn do the kides at the same time, I have a studio in Arlington that you are welcome to bring them to.

I'd recommend picking up a thrifty fifty (Canon 50mm f/1.8). You can get one for less than $100 and it's a great lens. I've got a 50mm f/1.4 and it's my most used lens for portraits. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...0mm_f_1_8.html

Just like you, I can't afford/risk of shipping a $700 dollar camera to a address which is not confirmed.
If you can see below, I'm not eligible for any protection if something should happen.

I wouldn't have any problem shipping it to your business if your HOME address was at least confirmed and verified via Paypal but there's not even an address listed for your PayPal account.

Like I mentioned, you're not far from me. I can meet you half way if you're serious about buying the 30D.
