Personally I'd go with a wired solution, wireless will drop at some point, randomly. Doing so in the middle of a backup would be bad news. The cost of external hard disks with enormous amounts of storage space is so low you'd need one very impressive reason not to get one. My friend just went to Fry's and picked up a 1TB external for less than $200. Insane. Anywho, I use SuperDuper! to backup my Macbook Pro, and do so to a 500GB fw800 drive, the first time it takes a while, but after that it's a 10min process. The backed up image gets backed up off-site later to another disk. |
