Baby Portraits - 08-12-2008, 10:23 AM

Does anyone know a good place to take family portraits with a baby? My friends want me to take pictures of their baby, but don't want to take them at home. Any suggestions??

How old is the baby? If he/she is mobile, a nice park or playground can work well.

If it's a family portrait, with the mom or dad holding her, then a park or something would probably work well. Otherwise, I'd tend to want to shoot a child that young indoors, preferably at home where she's most comfortable. Maybe ask what your friends have in mind ... posed, formal with a backdrop, or casual, candid in an environment?

A velvet covered Boppy works wonders for holding the baby.

Good luck! I hope you are able to get some great shots and post them sometime in the People section.
