What Am I Gonna Do ?!?

I don't know how many of you have been keeping up with our adventure on our blog, but let me give you a very brief update:

Erica & I were married back in 11/2006...(TPF Photos Here - thanks to Joe L.), anyhow from the very beginning of our adventure - we knew that we had some fertility issues. At first we thought it was all me...after a major surgery later that fixed that - we found out that my wife has some pretty major fertility issues of her own!

So after trying for about a year and half to get pregnant with no success, we had just about given-up. Then my father-in-law comes to us one day and says, "if you guys want to try IVF - I'll take care of the cost"! We were floored - that's around $12,000!

So we go through with the IVF...and success - we get pregnant! Two weeks later - we find out were having TWINS! Yikes!

So everything had been taking the course it should until yesterday...Erica woke-up and immediately knew that something wasn't right. After a quick trip to her doctor, we find out the news. There was one more, hidden behind the other.



Ohh - now we are really stressing out!!! We just found all this out yesterday...so we are still trying to understand what it all means. All I know - it's a good thing I got that D300 this year - it may be the last camera I can afford for a L-O-N-G time!

Whatever you do, get involved with a mothers of multiples group!!!

This is a blessing and everything will be provided for. You will be surprised. I have neighbors whose quadruplets are turning one this month!!!

First of all, congrats! I couldn't agree more with Lisa!! They were a big help to my wife Michelle and our twins four years ago!!!

Another big tip....write, call, email all the major baby brands like Gerber, Johnson and Johnson, etc. Let them know you're having multiples and are intersted in trying their products. They will send you TONS of coupons! Every penny helps.

What fun it will be to have 3 all at once. (only slightly sarcastic, i do think it would be fun).
I am hoping for twins since it runs in the family.

Thanks everyone - one thing for sure, I will always have some models to post photos of here on TPF!!! Were really excited - and really scared too! Does anyone have link to any of the "support groups"?

I will get you a list of groups and blogs to start. The best bits of info to get are the tips on what products will make your life easier!! :)

My friends quad blog is www.texasquadruplets.blogspot.com. I had the pleasure of helping her in the beginning. She and her husband both are amazing people and would LOVE to help in any way they can!!

Oh, I forgot....MOPS, MOPS, MOPS!!! When they are old enough she can join a MOPS group (mothers of preschoolers). Look for a church in your area that has one. This is extremely popular with MOMs since it is usually very affordable and provides a break from the kids with encouragement for moms. Most churches have scholarship programs if you need them.

I just pm'd you with a list of groups all over Texas. Even if you don't live nearby, some of the websites can be VERY helpful!

I personally know a family with quints...and an older boy too. They just turned 14 and their family has been blessed beyond measure and has been a blessing to others.

Congrats on your multiple blessing and while the road my not be easy it will certainly be worth it!!! God Bless You!
