I have been approached by "high end" store here in our hometown. Let me explain high end for here. The most "normal" people here make is about $30,000 with and average of maybe $25,000 a year. There are 2 millionaires but thats it This is an entire county not just a town.

With that said what size photos would you have up for display. This isn't for my portrait work but my landscapes, flowers etc... Don't expect a lot out of this but I figured what the heck. She is only charging me 10% of the sale IF sale anything.
What kind of frames would you use? Size of prints? Would you mat them normally or would you do a mat in photoshop?
I need feed back.
Thanks

Maybe a 16x20 since they're not terribly expensive but still impressive? And frames... I'd stick with something in the style of the store... modern if they're modern... And, it's a personal thing, but i'm not into mats. especially not the digital kind. maybe just the full 16x20 in a simple frame........ just some late night thoughts from me! :) hope it works out well for you!!!

I'm a big fan of mounting on boards, but that's me.

I would display what I think I could sell, but upsized one or two sizes.

You are going to be in a retail location. It will be larger than the average home. I would display photos larger than 16x20 but offer in other sizes. Experts say display 1 to 2 times the size you expect to sell.

Breezy, they approached you about photos. Do they have anything in the store already that they are trying to replace? That might determine the size. Also, I would suggest traditional matting in whatever frame you use.

Thanks guys.
I know the owner from way back when.
They sell framed images now. And she is low on stock and needs something "different".
The imags that would be on display would be "for sale". And they can certainly order larger images etc... but she has them there for take home readiness.
I greatly appreciate all of the help.
I have a community sale coming up next month too, so I will just order up some and if they want them that day they can take the big one to show.
