Kind of excited, kind of sad. It seems like only yesterday my son was doing the G.I. Joe crawl across the carpet (he never did learn how to crawl). Now he's going in to 8th grade. Where did the time go? Have I raised him well enough? Will he make the right choices? What will this year hold for him? It's exciting seeing him grow into a yound man, but I miss the baby boy. Wherever your child may be in life, cherish these years folks. All I noticed was that the roads and freeways were abnormally congested, especially close to home. Mostly suburban battleships taking precious to school, following a mostly empty school bus going to the exact same place.......followed by the juvenile bubbabuggy mullets racing to out-stupid each other. --------------------------- 5th Generation Texian. Bittersweet for me as well since at least for now I have no more schooling for a while. Bachelors and Masters are a enough for me. Now I just have to wait and see what I do about getting certified to teach if I have to go back to school again.
