Digital Photography Book(s) - 08-26-2008, 09:35 AM

I'm teaching a photography class this semester and I'm looking for a detailed book(s) that explains digital photography in depth. I would like it to cover topics like ISO, field of depth, aperture, shutter speed, exposure, etc. Does anyone have some suggestions? I've browsed tons of books, but I'm not really finding what I want. I just wanted to get some opinions from people who've read them. Thanks so much!

Check out Understanding Exposure. Great book with everything very well explained.

Understanding Exposure is an excellent book.

You might also increase your scope to include books not solely on digital that focus on the basics, which are about the same. Then introduce how digital allows switching light sensitivity with ISO, white balance, memory cards, etc.

Nothing beats the "Understanding Exposure" book or two others by Bryan Peterson: "Learning to See Creatively" and "Understanding Shutter Speed". They do tend to overlap, but they're great.
