Cool idea, but I'm not sure it works for this photo. The ear, arm, and point at the head are a bit unnerving. This could be a really cool effect with a more abstract picture.

Thanks for the idea Ken, you are right on about not being the right image.

The next one looks like it will be 5 hours till it renders so here's the earlier one I did this morning per your comment. I call it conical. The cool thing is you can make the DOF whatever you like and it adds a little more realism.

I like the DOF. I've played with POV-Ray long ago, before it had many cool features. I'm now inspired to try something similar. Thanks!

I assure you there is a photo used in this one, just not apparent...was a long exposure of the head unit in the old acura. I am calling this one Round Mids.

Thought a study in reflections would be interesting, I put these sky panels between two reflective surfaces to see how much the mac could take.
