You all almost lost me on thursday.
On wednesday my PM switched me from valium to skelaxin, and took me off my h-done and put me on a 10/325 dose of oxycodone.
On thursday I was at work and an hour after I took it (oxy, skelaxin and lyrica) my boss started asking me if I was stoned or high as I was slurring, and couldn't stand straight or without support. I got as high as two steps to upstairs before losing it and him calling the paramedics to come get me.
By the time I was at the hospital they had a tube down my throught to vomit to get whatever what is my stomach out. All I wanted to do was sleep, and the dr's kept pressing hard on my chest to keep me awake.
Apparently I was close to being put on life support because of it. So until then I can't take any of my medications, I have to see my PM doc on wednesday to see what exactly happened.
I'm still getting over it - feeling light headed and fatigued, but am slowly getting better.
Update to today :
So after THREE days of NO medication whatsoever my withdrawals were/are getting worse. Pain increased, BP and pulse increase, nausea, you name it. So I called nurseline, they couldn't offer advice...
called the original ER, spoke with a nurse Ratchett (as I like to call her for her attitude and the way I was treated in the ER originally when she refused to let me use the toilet but made me use a bedpan and when that didn't work a freakin catheter - sorry guys), and she was no help told me I had to come in.
Called the second ER because on friday I hadn't improved and they were certain I was still taking valium as it was still in my system, but at least they confirmed it was withdrawals and I was not going to have a pleasant few weeks, but suggested motrin or something to help with the pain I would receive.
Then finally called the after hours for my PM doc who did confirm that I was oversedated originally (it was zanaflex and not skelaxin as I originally thought) with the three meds and thats why I ended up in the ER. But I told her I couldn't see my PM until wednesday and she was surprised that I hadn't taken anything since thursday. So now I'm back on the percocet every 4-6 hours until I see my PM until wednesday, to cut out the withdrawals.
