Adobe Device Central CS3 - "License For This Product Has Stopped Working"

Anyone having trouble getting this to work?
I have the Photoshop CS3 and not the creative suites and mine keeps telling me:

"License For This Product Has Stopped Working"

You can not use this product at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling this product or contact the IT Administrator or Adobe customer support for help.

I have searched Google on the problem and tried the fixes i found listed but it did not help?

I really do not want to do a total uninstall and reinstall again if I can avoid it

When I built the new computer I had to call Adobe to install CS3 (Upgrade) without having to install CS2. It would not recognize my CS2 disk for some reason and they had to walk me through it to get it installed.

I had the same problem on my laptop, used this fix. #2 worked for me.

That is the site I tried the fixes from.
Fix one says for Vista Only, I tried 2 and 3 they did not work, and I really did not want to get into 4 unless I had to

I contacted Adobe and I am waiting to hear back from them. If I don't I guess I will try #4

Heck it may have been easier just to uninstall and reinstall!

i had to use the adobe 'clean install' utility that you can find on their websie. that fixed me right up.
