So I need to get rid of some old camera equipment. I don't really want to price it, but it looks like I have to in order to sell it. Is ebay the best place to get a starting place for a price?

How old? More recent equipment, if it still has a retail price.. that's a place to start. Searching eBay for completed auctions will give you an idea of what its selling for... you can also call one of the used equipment buyers and see what they'd sell you that equipment for (don't tell them you are looking to sell yours, tell them you are looking to buy theirs)... just some ideas to get started.

I'm converting a spare bedroom into a camera/photography room (as soon as I get my niece moved to her upstairs room)...I could use a few things to dress it up...Ben

That would be my suggestion also. KEH is where I check when I need something used. Of course a bit lower than their prices will always help move things along quicker.
