This is rather neat, I am glad that the government is doing this, which is a remnant of the WPA started by Roosevelt.

Sounds like an interesting project. I know from my travels around the country how some views of landscapes get obliterated by new buildings. Some of the scenics that I saw a few yrs ago are now unavailable due to new structures built in my previous sight lines. On a similar note I was surprised when I found out that, here in San Antonio there is an ordinance that restricts buildings being built that would cast a shadow on the Alamo. That is one way of protecting an historic landscape.
