Mike Johnston on this book and it shows some pro's still use Leica's and even film. More on Botte.

I reviewed the article. Whatever happend to the photographer. I feel bad for him, as I don't think he was out to "make a buck." As of the camera I was under the impression that they stopped making them. Am I correct? I see you also use a Leica. Is this what you shoot with all the time? | | | |

There was only one camera made by Leica for Botte to honor his work. Here's Sherry Krauter on the camera. She is a long time friend of Botte and one of the finest Leica repair people in the world.
I shoot both the M8, film Leicas and a Canon 5D. It depends on the requires of what I'm wanting to shoot and the look I'm seeking.

This story is all about the photographer and the images than what kind of camera he was carrying. He would have captured equally impressive images with any camera he used.
Here's a link to the videos as well as an article. http://www.voanews.com/english/archi...9-08-voa39.cfm

I received the book a couple of days ago. Very powerful work here. Well worth everyone owning a copy. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
