Someone totally owes me lunch.

So you are all well aware of the recent Hurricane Ike and the power outages here in Houston... Yeah well...my work had power last week. You'd think they'd clean out the fridges THEN...or like, Friday, or i dunno this past WEEKEND. But no...they did it today. TODAY! After i brought my perfectly good lunch and put it in the freezer. The empty freezer, that had only one other item in it. The freezer that we only use for our lunches, that wouldnt have needed to be cleaned out anyway. And they threw away my lunch!

So I'm like screw it..it's monday, get me out of here. Where do i go now... There's nowhere but Jack in the Box around my work anyway...buuut the sign is knocked down, no power either... I drive a little further...Burger King has lines out onto the highway. Pssssh, im already out, let's drive to the main intersection (the only other place with food around here), halfway back to my house. OMG! Traffic is backed up past the beltway and stopped. Quick! Turn left at the light and cut through the neighborhood. Let's take the backroad to the whataburger in the parking lot of the shopping center. Oh wait! what's that? An open sign! Cliff's Hamburger's....never heard of it. *pulls in*

Me: Does the chicken sandwich come with fries or anything?
Cashier: No, just sandwich.
Me: Ok ill take these chips.
Me: Can you package to go please.
*15 minutes later*
Cashier: Order Ready
*15 minute drive back to work*
Me: Son of a @*(%&!
*There were fries there.*

the fridge where I kept my Dr Pepper (they only sell "Coke products" here.....heathen blasphemy....) developed a funkiness during a power outage not Ike-related......we are now referrring to that fridge as a medical research facility. Something was/is? evolving in there...when it evolves enough to walk out under its own power...look out!

Quick, order up a case of Dublin DP and toss it in there; maybe whatever evolves will take over the rest of the DP production and end the corn syrup travesty once and for all.
