I need a little help identifying this artist. I am told it was a famous western artist's sketch, but can't remember who it was. This belonged to a family member who died and didn't write the name anywhere and the sketch isn't signed.

Any ideas?

It looks like something Frederic Remington would have done...Ben

Maybe someone from the Sid Richardson Museum in Fort Worth can help you. They have a nice collection of Western art, including some from Remington.

Thanks for the responses. I was told the name at one time and I don't think it was Remington, but who knows. I'll check with the Sid Richardson Museum.

Thanks again.

I have identified it, thanks to an art gallery in Santa Fe. The artist is Edward Borein and apparently most of his work is unsigned.

Here's a link to some of his other work:

Thanks for everyone's help.
