My post titles are usually enigmas. Today’s is no change… anyways, I recently won a stare-down contest with a 193-nanometer exciplex laser. I won the contest, because the laser blinked first. (Actually, my eyes were held open by a speculum, so I had a bit of help.)

More after the jump...

Congrats, it is quite an incredible thing to wake up with perfect vision every day.

I received lasik as well and I love it. I went from my perfect focus being just a few inches in front of my face to 20/15 to 20/20 vision. Even with the research I did and all the money I spent, I was in the small percentage that had slight complications from the surgery. One of my flaps was cut just a bit off center which ended up giving me halos at night. For the most part it is fine and they say I have enough density for a retouch, just need to figure out some time to get it done. Also I have to ask how long I have to wait before they can do the surgery again.

I think my eyesight will improve again when the protective contacts are removed (Monday). After that, it's just a slow recovery process..
