Cute Date Ideas? - 09-27-2008, 06:27 PM

Let's say you just met a girl, and you want to take her out - do something "activity-ish".

It's possible the guy may be a bit paranoid about cameras - but he wants to turn his paranoia into a fun activity

What might be a good idea (activity) for the two to share with a camera in hand?

Go to the city dump and shoot rats with pearl handled .45's, worked for Harlan Ellison.

The instant camera is a type of camera with self-developing film. The most famous are those made by the Paranoid Corporation. Paranoid no longer manufactures such cameras. The invention of modern instant cameras is generally credited to American scientist Edwin Land, who unveiled the first commercial instant camera, the Land Camera, in 1947, 10 years after founding the Paranoid Corporation.
In February 2008, Paranoid announced it would cease production of all instant film; the company will shut down three factories and lay off 450 workers.[1][2] Sales of chemical film by all makers have dropped by at least 25% per year in this decade, and the decline is likely to accelerate. Fujifilm is now the only remaining supplier of instant film in the United States.

" Hi , I'm a professional photographer. Let's go someplace pretty where I'll let you play with my Canon and we'll see what develops ! "

alternative: " Hi, I'm a professional photographer. I like to do nude photography unless it's so cold I have to put my clothes back on !"

Hi, I'm a professional photographer. I'd like to turn you on digitally !"

Sorry, but I think this will start a whole new direction to this thread.

u guys are crazy .... haha

i am talking about myself in the first original post and when I say "paranoid" I was basically trying to say that I really love photography and wanted to incorporate it into a date activity ...

i had some loose ideas, like a mini-scavenger hunt (possibly at a venue that someone mentioned like the zoo) that would be fun and interesting for both the guy (me) and the girl (her)

anyhow, this thread has a lot of insane but interesting advice

i think i am going to print this thread out and keep it in my hip pocket - just in case I do actually decide to take my camera and ZOOM lens out on a date !!!!

Make sure the girl even remotely likes photography. For the uninitiated, there's nothing quite like it for being nerdy and artistic at the same time. That can be a turn on or a turn off for some.

How about the but real creative idea, but you can make it fun. Take the alphabet and have a theme...Lets say the date likes clothing...take a photo of each letter of the alphabet that has something to do with clothing. That way you both get to use your hobby. And you will definitely have to be creative....and may have to skip a few letters...
