Hobby Lobby. Their frames are always 50 percent off; at least that's what they told me.

I usually go look at hobby stores myself, sometimes they have a decent deal.

Walmart...has $3 8x10 frames, $5 11x14 frames, & <$10 metal 16x20 frames...I use them all over the country...beats having to keep enough stock on hand...when I run low...there is always a Walmart around...

While I've bought frames at Hobby Lobby, Michael's, and Garden Ridge, you have to take what they've got at the time, and their inventory seems to change a lot. Usually the cheap frames are also poor quality, sometimes even plastic disguised as wood. So for a more consistent inventory, and to keep the same look, I've been shopping at Aaron's most lately. That way I don't have to try to match some frames I bought months ago. I once had a show where I needed 24 frames that were all the same. I ended up going to every Garden Ridge in Austin, and the one north of San Antonio as well to get them all. Turns out the particular frame that I had decided on at one store in Round Rock, when I went to get more, found they only stock 3 or 4 at each store. And once they were gone, they don't necessarily order the same thing again.
So I go to Aaron's first now. They often have coupons and sales as well, and the frames are more consistent quality too.

Also take a look at Kohls.
My wife uses a lot of frames and has checked out all of the places, and feels she got more frame for the money there.
However, she is buying them direct from the manufacturer now. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
