Whatever package crushing carrier you choose, protect your investment in Pelican cases.

I prefer to box the case in cardboard, but I'm OCD...

UPS/FedEx Ground are likely to be about the same. I'd guess about $100-150 each way.

Pelican hard case or VERY WELL PADDED box.

It might actually be cheaper to rent from there.

i'm working on renting a studio....keep your finger's x-d!!! and hopefully the guy will just donate for his name in the program and other marketing materials...

the problem with renting just equipment...is it's new hampshire!! the closest place i could find that rents is in boston - ugh! these are just little tiny towns up there, and sometimes it's like a whole nuther world back in time.

I, not too long ago, shipped strobe equipment from TX to CA. I used UPS ground and remember the costs to be about $100. Some of the equipment was shipped in a Tenba Air Case that has a substantial amount of padding. The rest of the equipment was wrapped in lots and lots of bubble wrap. All of that was packed in double wall corrugated boxes (the double wall part is important). I also labeled the boxes as fragile and containing glass parts.

I was going to say the same thing, not just on cost to ship but also if your equipment gets damaged in any way there or back.
