That evil pinata.... - 10-03-2008, 06:13 AM

Brought the puppy inside this morning, and she was all her normal hyper self, so after waking up the kids, and playing a bit, I took her back downstairs. The lights were on this time, and she saw the large ghost pinata on the chair, and she jumped straight up, backed up about four feet, and started barking at an "enemy". She started growling, and placed herself between me, and the pinata, it was just too funny a moment. I love this dog, even if she does chew everything in sight.

We had a similar incident this weekend. My Fiance is a Firefighter and has to have a cyst removed from the back of his neck this week... The surgeon asked him to mark on his neck where his mask sits so he can try to avoid that area as much as possible when he makes the incision.

Well he went into the bathroom and put the mask on. Our lil chihuahua mix went with him and was just curious... but our other baby (year old aussie shepherd mix) just saw him come around the corner with the mask on... every hair went up on his body and he positioned himself between "it" and me and actually snarled and bared teeth! We have NEVER seen him do this... he is a very sweet tempered puppy and loves everybody he meets. My fiance snapped his fingers at him (to back him offf) and then took the mask off.. and I have never seen such a confused puppy!

So in one way we were laughing so hard at his reaction... but I was also happy to know he was there to protect Momma if I ever get attacked by a random fireman... lol
