Irving - Fun Places ?? - 10-06-2008, 03:34 PM

I am going to be in Irving, TX this coming weekend with my GF and I want to take her some place fun !

Does anyone know of any cool places (like Jillian's, Mini-Golf places, Bowling Alleys (maybe themed bowling lanes - disco style or something), or other light and fun places to go?

We will be in the Las Colinas part of Irving - and unfortunately will not be able to go into Downtown Dallas for a variety of reasons.

Any help is appreciated !

The Las Colinas Canal area is a nice area with some shopping and restaurants and good photo backgrounds.

As far a bowing alleys, only one and it is on Beltline Rd. south of Hwy 183. Have not been there in a long time, so not sure of its condition. No Mini-Golf that I can think of.

If your wanting a steak dinner the Cool River Steakhouse on Hidden Ridge is popular but the wait can be long and it is on the expensive side.

Red Hot and Blue Barbeque is pretty good, its on MacArthur @ Hwy 114.

hey thanks guys - i found out there is a Dave & Busters not too far from Irving - about a 15 minute drive ... it appears to be in the City of Dallas in an area called "Stemmons"

Is this place still there?

Dave & Busters is still there. "Stemmons" is shorthand for Stemmons Freeway, which is a stretch of I-35.

If this is a money is no object weekend, stay a night at the Four Seasons Hotel which would entitle you to play golf on the Byron Nelson TPC course - or, to enjoy tennis and the other amenities at the Sports Club there!

A couple of good restaurants right in Las Colinas are Jinbeh and Cafe Cipriani, both on Las Colinas Blvd right across the street from one another.
