In my experience, 6-10 days is typical for items to get to the UK, but I once shipped a watch on Saturday and the buyer received it the next monday. As already mentioned, never falsify customs paperwork. I list US only on my auctions, but I have shipped to the UK, Spain and France when I felt comfortable with the buyer, and then only when they understood that I declared at full value.

Recently I had a buyer back out of a deal because he didn't want to pay tax and shipping. He wanted me to send a Sony DVCAM USPS, and I told him no. FedEx, UPS, DHL only insured, made that clear in the auction the also, the buyer was responsible for all shipping and other fees. The cost was around $500 to get it to S. Korea. I even had the auction marked no international shipping, US only. Listed it again and the same guy starting bidding on it! The paper work to get it through Customs would have been a pain also but I wasn’t going to get caught up in any backlash from them. I have now blocked bidders that are not from US.

Update: buyer finally received the lens after 10 days of nightmares Lol

1. Good G_D that this is not a scam
2. the custom apparently didn't give any problems whatsoever, it went through just fine
3. I asked him to sign an agreement that the lens is received and its all in stated condition as sold, and no refund whatsoever will be given
4. I will only sell to Local fro now,

thanks guys for your inputs!
