Before the rankings come out today I predict that Alabama will be ranked #1 ahead of Texas at #2 or #3. The media just can't stop talking about Alabama and Nick Saban. Do they forget that Alabama barely squeaked by Kentucky an unranked team 17-14?

Texas and Alabama are 6-0

Texas beat the #1 ranked team in the country
Alabama beat the #3 ranked team in the country

Texas beat Arkansas 52-10
Alabama beat Arkansas 49-14


What do you think? Will they actually vote for Alabama's on field performance or vote on Nick Saban's celebrity like status for better TV ratings?

I was wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love it when I am wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At least in the AP so far.

I still find it shocking that 26 voters pick Alabama ahead of Texas.

I know rankings are a bunch of cr@p but at this point of the season Texas is statistically better at least for another week.

With Alabama having an off week I don't see how they could be ranked worse than oklahoma last week and higher this week after not doing anything. So I can understand Texas making the jump.
