I have a friend (Tauren warrior) who has logged over 200 days this year. He's really into it.

We didn't collect taxes on the virtual items, but we did file taxes for it as a business and as a whole, not individual transactions since we probably made thousands of them. We used our own game company name to do it under, everything was legit. My brother was actually featured in one of the local papers, either Denver Post or Rockie Mountains, can't remember which.

So 50 days in appox. 300? Thats 1/6th of your time, or only 4 hours a day. I'm pretty sure that that puts you nowhere near the level of the power gamers. You obviously valued your sleep too much, and your toon probably suffered as a result. Aren't you ashamed?

Are you trying to be a troll? Because you're not very good at it.

By non-gamer standards, four hours a day on average sounds like a ton, an almost unimaginable amount of gaming. By gamer standards, its pretty ho-hum. Back when I did this, I knew of guilds that wouldn't consider taking someone who only played four hours a day. And I know people who shared their toons so they could have a toon active basically 24 hours a day.

No, I wasn't trolling, but my attempt at humor/sarcasm may have been pretty lame. The funny thing is that on the one side of the equation, people who don't understand gaming think that playing as much as four hours a day might be reason to be ashamed, while in the gaming community you are much more likely to find people who think you should be ashamed for putting in "only" four hours a day.

I've been in both camps and don't really care much one way or another how a person spends their time.
