What do you do when your S.O. is out of town?? - 11-01-2008, 07:24 PM

Okay, so Jeff is out of town for a whole MONTH. He is working on opening a new Hastings in Alexandria, LA and will be gone till the 22nd at the very least.

Last weekend wasn't so bad, since I was in DFW shooting a wedding. However, this weekend, I am home alone, (well, not including the pets) and have cabin fever so bad I can't stand it!

So far today I have touched up the paint on the trim, took down some lattice work at the front door. Ripped out the paneling (yick) in the bathroom, and powerwashed the front of the house to get rid of spider web. Not to mention, editing pics from the wedding.

I have a feeling that Jeff will not come home to the same house!

So what do you do to pre-occupy yourself when your spouse (or kids) is out of town??

I play a LOT of PS3. That, or hang at a buddies house and have a few beers for many days.

Heather, if things are slow here next week, we should throw a model in a wedding gown and go have fun shooting stupid stuff! ;o)

go eat CFS and Cici's (old thread - my wife's only post on the board : http://www.texasphotoforum.com/forum...527#post460527 )

Also odd stock shoots, sometime Brazos Bend days, goofing off on the computer, Watching my DVRd shows, etc.

Actually it's pretty much what I do when she's here also.

I get on the forum and let all the "hot babes" know that I am alone and they are welcome to come over. Sometimes Tom or Peter show up so I guess that plan isn't working too well for me.

Well, if that's how you are going to act while Jeff is out of town, expect him to be gone more often.

My SO was out of town for 3 months last year and other than a quick weekend trip to see him in ND, it was me, the kiddo and the animals. Half of the weekends, the kiddo was gone as well. Right now I have started my hunter's widow status which will continue every weekend until January - and he has the kiddo with him. I have made a list (which keeps growing) of all the things I never get around to doing when they are around. Some are fun things, some - not so much - but they need to get done.

Like Holly said, take bubble baths - with candles. Pamper yourself. Call me. Maybe we can get together one of these weekends and do some fun shooting.

I go to BonDarnes when I get bored because that's where the hot babes are supposed to be.

Most of the time, I sit here and pad my post count with inane and generally useless advice about photography, business, pleasure, etc.
