Ok, I have a Olympus FE-310 digital camera that I love and take everywhere with me. But it's not my Minolta X-370. The SLR gives me more control over how the photos look, plus there is just a better lifespan of film. Maybe I'll get a DSLR one of these days, but I don't see myself being able to afford one anytime soon.
So where are the good places to buy affordable 35mm film? I've been hunting the supermarkets and gotten a few rolls on clearance but I want to stock up on more. Wally World doesn't appear to carry 35mm film anymore, so I'm beginning to run out of ideas. Where do you buy yours? Or have you gone totally over to digital?

Hi, I am looking to buy film also, I looked at ebay and the prices seem OK compared to my local Walgreens I was in today. I will be checking the local camera store as well. Good luck, I will let you know what I find.

Michael | If you are looking to stock up, you can always order en masse from b&H.
I just looked and they have most of their stuff in stock, and as low as 2.20 per roll for 100 speed stuff.

I've had good luck dealing with freestylephoto.biz http://www.freestylephoto.biz/index.html
Note for the future -- it's dot BIZ not dot COM
If you are not too particular about brands, you can find 135 at some of the dollar stores. | | | |

Freestyle!
Arista Premium in 35mm. The film is made in the USA. Hint! Hint! The film is made by Kodak. GOOGLE can find several discussions of the film on various film oriented Forums. Rangefinder Forum and APUG for sure. Arista Premium
Even better news: Starting in January Freestyle will have house brand film made in Japan. A.K.A. Fujifilm.
They also stock color film at decent prices.
Precision Camera & Video right here in Texas (Austin) sells online as well. They sometimes have great specials. http://www.precision-camera.com/brow...?category=film
Good luck!

Michael | Not very likely!
While the general attitude here is "Digital. Digital. More Digital.", a few of us are fighting the good fight to keep the old ways alive.
BTW, Freestyle Photo gets orders to my house way back in the woods on the upper east side of Texas FAST! I have ordered on Monday and had the goods on Thursday. It takes 2 days longer to get to my office in Houston. Go figure.

Remember you can keep film for years if you freeze it.

The place to buy film now is online. There are plenty of sources and some of the best have already been mentioned. There is also plenty of choices in different films. And no, it's difficult, if not impossible, to buy film at a drugstore and this has been much lamented. However, I've never been able to fill my prescriptions at the camera shop, so ... | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
