Question Looking for old rusty pipe wrenches - 11-08-2008, 09:02 AM

I know it's a long shot, but I figure this is a resourceful group, right? I'm looking for about 5 really old pipe wrenches (or monkey wrenches) that I can have or buy on the cheap. I figure there may be someone with their grandpa's old garage full of stuff that could offer one or two up? It's for an art project and I could certainly come pick them up if they're not too far from Dallas.
Thanks for looking,
Jeremy

So, I gotta ask. Maybe its the NYer in me. Are you planning on bashing someone over the head and burying them in the woods? I cant imagine what else you would do with rusty old pipes.

I'm thinking all you have to do is find the wrenches you want and go put them in some water for a few days!!!

Well, this is so wierd but I have a lot of old tools of my dad's in storage. But I'm in Houston. Would you be willing to pay the postage too? Not sure what I would ask but I could dig them out and let you know what I have.

Sharon, if it comes to that I just might give you a shout. I just started looking this week so I'll keep you in mind if I don't come up with anything local. Thank you!

If I get this thing put together I'll post a picture, but I promise I'm far too lazy to bury them in the woods

I have at least 7 old monkey wrenches that are rusty, bit only 2 or 3 pipe wrenches. Which do you really want?
website--->www.papawswrench.com email---> nhankamer@papawswrench.com
or PM me for phone number
I am south of Houston, I have a friend in Garland that should have some also.

Given enough info on you, I could loan them to you if you pay postage up and back. I can fit probably 5 or 6 in a US Post Office Flat Rate box, ships for about $10.
