You seem to uncover some real interesting subjects. This is a real gem of a find.

I was there in 1967 and found "Peace Park" a fascinating place. The museum is the best I've ever seen for telling the whole story of the bombing from the Japanese viewpoint. The displays and photographs were bone chilling!!

I have some wonderful stories of Japanese people I met there, that were survivors of the bombing.

I was there in 2004. It is an eerie but amazing place. The museum really is something to see. The watch in the image below is there. It shows the exact time of the detonation of the bomb. The other image is the most famous of the buildings in Hiroshima. It is essentially the only building left standing and it was very close to being directly under the air burst. While it has been reinforced to stabilize it, it has been kept in the same condition as it was on the day of the blast.

Guess I'm going to have to see if I can find my slides from there. I haven't seen them in years. Maybe there is storage!!!

Yes, some of the exhibits were gruesome. I think it made me realize the true nature of the devastation and suffering. Although that bomb probably saved the lives of many thousands on both sides.

Awesome find Stovall. It would have been a shame for these images to have been lost and destroyed.

You dig up some of the best stuff....
