Seriously Apple and AT&T. You released a phone I paid $200 and $30/month for this "data plan" that doesn't support MMS?

For those that don't know, whenever someone sends you a picture from their phone - it brings a message up telling you to go to www.viewmymessage.com and you have to write down the username and password and then type it in just to view it. On the down side, none of the pictures have ever actually shown up on the website for me (doesn't work).

And don't tell me they could just simply send me an email, because not everybody's phone has email capabilities, and such a simple feature should have been implemented into a phone as technologically advanced as the iPhone is (or is it?)

you didnt know that before you bought it? lol... it's been rumored that they are working on it. rumored. for awhile.

it didnt bother me because the only people i send picture mail to have the iphone or email on their phones.

Couldn't agree more.

Just saw a commercial for the new blackberry. It's making me wonder if I should switch to that!

first...it's MMS not SMS ;)
second...that has been a complaint since the first gen phones, how you weren't aware of it I have no idea

it's a bummer, but yeah if someone's gonna send me a pic I tell them to email me. And everyone I know has the ability to see mail either web based or phone based, on their phones.

Apple's comments about it was that everyone should have an email capable phone in this day and age. Not sure if I agree or disagree, but I chose to use the phone and I love it, so I work with what I've got.

I wish there was a place I could go to check out all of the iPhones faults.

Most Apple zealots will only talk about the magic rainbows shooting out of everything Apple.

My wife has an iPhone, and wants me to get one too, but I'm just not sure about it.

I only just realized this past week that it didn't do video in addition to stills. Sure, it's not that big of a deal, but I do happen to take some quick video clips from time to time using my phone. And even from time to time, I like to send them to my friends.

Watch out for the Storm...Blackberry storm that is...rumored availability date is 11/24. VIP preview on friday from the 20th to 21st at select VZW stores. Only catch is if you have DRM'd music from iTunes, you'll have to burn to a cd then rip them into iTunes to get them onto the BB.

Not sure if this is an issue if you were to go with VZW, if you want to use the phone feature AND surf at the same time, that is not doable because of the EVDO technology. Unlike the iphone, which you can surf and talk at the sametime.

Oh, price for the Storm is expected to be 199 after mail in rebate, though another rumor has it at 219.99. News of price and date should be coming soon.

the thing that bugged me about the pictures... where's the zoom! not that you can capture anything real great...but that surprised me as well.

What is wrong with G1 Google cell phone? It looks so decent and bet of all it is opensource! I love Google! But then again I love blackberry. I do have an eye for storm but we will se how they do. Good luck on iphone. It's cool phone but heck not good for me.

I bought my wife a refurbed Blackberry Curve (refurbed by AT&T) for Christmas last year for $5. It does everything she needs it to do. Not as much as an iPhone, but really, aren't we all fiddling with our phones too much as it is?

there are plenty of places that will tell you everything that is truly "wrong" with the iPhone or even the perceived wrongs

there's no copy/paste
there's no flash support for browsing the internet
there's no flash for the camera
the camera is 2MP
the camera has no zoom or focus feature
you have to use iTunes
it's Apple
the data package is 30 bucks and you still have to pay for texts on top of that (for the 3G that is, the 1st gen was 20 bucks and 200 texts)
No MMS texting capabilities

C/P...don't use it on my phone, never have so don't miss it now
MMS...send me a pic, I can go to the website and view it, doesn't bother me. Better yet, email me.
Flash support for websites, this I'd like to see and rumors are that Adobe is working on something for an iPhone version

lack of flash for the camera, not a big deal so much as the no focus and zoom are IMO.

I'm sure we could sit here all day and come up with "slights" against the phone

oh wait...no "real" qwerty keyboard...IMO the touch screen is a million times better than all these other phones touting touch screens that require a flip keyboard :ugh:

people cried about no Exchange support with the first gen phone, well 3G has it too.
