Santa Barbara Tea Fire - 11-14-2008, 03:56 AM

11/13/08

What is now named the "Tea Fire" has been burning in Santa Barbara since approximately 5:45pm PST. Latest reports show more than 100 houses and 800 acres of land have been damaged by the flames. Two burn victims were taken to the Irvine Burn Center.

While my particular area is safe, I ask for your thoughts and prayers for the victims of this fire.

That is the only thing I don't miss about CA! Great captures.

That base the names of wildfires on the relative location to where it started... usually a landmark such as a prominent street, ranch or the like.

They sound random.... but they're not.

Wow, feel so sorry for those people, not to mention the firefighters. They've been worn to a frazzle this year. :(

I especially like the second photo.

the first photo of the second set is really nice.

I was just out there a few weeks ago shooting a wedding and it makes it so different looking at pictures when its a "real" place. Usually looking at the pictures you just see it as a place that's not where you are and it doesn't give you much of an impact. But after being there and knowing where this stuff is it really gives me a completely new way to look at it.

Really nice captures.. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone out there.

Very nice capture, and my thoughts and prayers are for the people whose lives this has touched. I'm not sure if I could live there.
