Bugatti spotted in Dallas - 11-17-2008, 10:30 AM

Has anyone seen this sucker!!?? I've ran across him twice in the last 2 weeks. First was at the Mavs home opener, then again yesterday in Plano. I'm assuming its the same car. I mean, it's not every day someone passes you in a million dollar car. The one I've seen is black.

Side note: There's also a guy I've spotted twice in an Enzo.

Which Bugatti model?

No photos. There's some here: here on Bugatti's site. At less than 4ft tall it's very elusive in traffic. Outisde the W hotel there was a group of 5 of us and they didn't believe there was one "there" until the light changed and other cars began to move. We were heading opposite ways on Preston yesterday.

That is a beautiful car, although I couldn't drive it more than two blocks in my neighborhood without taking off the front end with a pot hole.

Best I've seen in person lately was a newer Bentley coupe and a Maserati, but nothing like the Bugatti.

Keep in mind that they do rent them, believe it or not. My clients rented on for their wedding.

Welcome to Avis, how can we help you?

"Yeah, umm, what's the weekly special on that Veyron? Oh, well I got 600,000 points...can I use them to drive it in the lot?"

there's a couple of exotic rental places on South Beach, & even though the rentals are both arms and legs, people still shell out those big bucks for a few hours to sit in traffic and hope someone walks by that they know

There is (or at least was) a place near me that rents classics and exotics, from 60s model Mercedes convertibles to Ferraris. It was more like a time-share kind of thing where you buy a level of membership and that gives you a certain amount of time and privileges behind the wheels of the fine autos.

Traffic is traffic, and the speed limit is the same even when I'm in my Subaru wagon.

yeah but there's always Sunday mornings and empty highways. That coupe you like handles very well once you get out of that traffic. Then again, you didn't hear that from me

I swear, the amount of money in cars down here is ridiculous!!! I remember back in my Idaho days, it used to blow my mind when I'd see a viper or a 911. Last night, we saw a Lamborghini Murcielago and a Ferrari F430 parked next to each other, and in the short time I've been in Houston I've seen countless Bentleys, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and even a Mercedes SLR McLaren and a few Porsche Carerra GTs, along with an Audi R8 recently. I'm to the point where it's going to take a Reventon (I hear three of the twenty are Houston bound) or of course the Veyron to even get me to look :)

I don't need a Veyron or Bently.....I have my dirtyass Pathfinder with Neo Hanging out and that is all the attention I need. Plus I can leave all the windows open and doors unlocked and NO ONE even bothers stealing it. :)

Nice!

But a super-nice car stopped being on my dream list when I was 17. My Subie handles well on twisty, wet roads, bouncing around on the beach, and I've still got a smile on my face when filling it with gas after getting nearly 30 mpg.

Goes to show you that not everyone is hurt by the economic downturn. These people are probably executives of the companies that took bailout money and contributed it to their bonuses.
