Help me pick a p & s camera...

My parents have an old 2.0 MP Kodak Easy Share - which they find baffling to use. They can take the photos, but they cant delete them. You have to navigate through 2 menus to delete all the photos.

Im looking for a pns camera that is REALLY easy to use and under $100 (in case they drop it). I saw a few that looked ok. Fuji had one that looked ok. Just wondering what else you've come across.

Casio Exilim's make for nice P&S cameras....simple, fun, etc...

Kodak has a LOUSY user interface. I like the Canon A590IS, it's got a nice feel (grip) to it, and has a "heart" mode that requires near-no-thinking. They're a little over $100. The school just bought 20 of them, so hopefully they'll hold up.

I'm getting a friend the Nikon L10, it seems to get good reviews all around.

the casio stuff is really easy to use... not so hot on IQ but that doesn't sound like the main goal here.

I find the Ricoh GR-DII to be the most camera like P&S around add the CV Minn-28/35 veiwfinder and you are set. It's a photographer's P&S.

The OP wants a P&S for less than a hundred bucks for Mom... this camera is $600

Mom is not a photographer.
