Who will be the BIG 12 South Champ

Alright all you college football fans I want to hear your thoughts on the subject.

With the STUPID BCS set up the nightmare of a 3 way tie for the Big 12 South is a reality.

Texas beat OU on a neutral field
OU beat Texas Tech at home
Texas Tech beat Texas at home

All are 11-1

OU seems to be the hot team right now after Texas Tech and OK State wins but Texas was the only one to win on a neutral field. Then there is Texas Tech which beat Texas.


I feel by the numbers Texas should be the winner but I think being that OU is the hot team they will get the human votes in the polls that make up part of the BCS. Which will push OU over Texas to take the #2 position in the BCS and therefore win the Big 12 South and on to the National Champ Game.


So with my explanation what does everyone else think?

Texas. They beat OU and OU beat Tech even if Tech beat Texas, Tech lost to OU. That's my thoughts and I'm not biased in any way.

They all have really good teams, don't they?

The only team that looked good this week was UT. Tech almost lost to Baylor and OU didn't really put away the cowboys very well yesterday. I think that if OU had been ranked 2 last week and UT at 3, then UT didn't do enough to jump OU, but I don't think OU did enough to jump UT this week either. That leaves it with UT at #2 and playing the 4th best Big 12 team for the championship.

Of course, you can't blame this Big 12 mess on the BCS completely. There would probably be this issue regardless of the national championship race, but that sure does add another dimension to it. Hypothetically UT goes to the Big 12 championship and then the rankings change and OU goes to the national championship... wouldn't that be nuts?

My personal vote goes to Texas (DUH) but I'm predicting OU will get the nod. It's little consolation but OU couldn't be the team without Texas HS football products, including Sam Bradford.

I voted for OU but I think Texas should receive consideration but man OU FLA in the Nat champ what a game.

It is over... OU wins... Harris, Coaches, and AP are in and OU is above Texas.

I went to Texas and i think it sucks that this season was so competitive. Nothing can be done now... ALL i really wanted was for OU NOT to be in the championship.

Hopefully we will get to play a team that thinks they are good and prove that other than florida, no one can play the top 4 teams in the Big12.

I just watched ESPN and the college experts think Texas should get it but think OU will actually get the final bid, so they fell pretty much like I do, due to OU being the hot team after their win over Texas Tech.

Seems Texas tech royally screwed us this year. It wasnt good enough that they lost their chance, they had to take away Texas's chance too!

I want Texas to win but since OU is really hot like you guys said it really is making me think. Them thinking they are hot may open up errors as well. As long as McCoy can deliver we will be in good shape.

In the poll I voted OU but I think Texas deserves it because of the head to head, especially on a neutral field. I strongly feel that the real voters will pick OU based on the fact that they have scored 60 plus in their last 4 games and the huge blowout against TT is still fresh in their minds.

On a side note I think Alabama is overrated and can't wait to see them play Florida.

Me too. Texas is my team but I don't think they will beat Florida but what do I know, I picked USC to destroy us a few years back and we all know I was wrong.

The new AP poll is out and Texas jumped ahead of OU from last week.

Later today the BCS will be interesting!!!

I am my own boss and choose who I work with.

I even told KJ I was rooting for Tech during the game (at a wedding no less). He definitely got the final laugh on that one.
