That must be some high resolution glass in front of that sensor - and a lot of really meticulous stitching.

That is amazing! I zoomed in as much as I could and the detail is so crisp! Just incredible to have a visual record like that.

website says he uses a Canon 5D.

With my antique computer I'm lucky to get to stitch two photos together without running out of memory....

As my primitive mind understands it, he took a couple hundred pictures and stitched them all together to make one gigapixel image.

I was looking at it and was in awe of the technology used to stitch it together. Then it hit me---this magnificent sanctuary was built by hand, before the modern technology we have today. No CAD, not laser guided woodworking machinery, just handtools and artistry!
The photography and processing is great. But the real beauty is the subject!
Awesome!
