I'll use my iPhone camera for quick Twitter or Facebook updates. Nothing serious though.

At concerts, sometimes you're not allowed to bring in a regular camera... most of the concerts I've been to have been like that, actually.

It doesn't bother me. It's about convenience for some people.

There are some new phones out with FIVE and EIGHT Mega Pixel cameras in them, with quite a few adjustments.

Of course they'll never match DSLR quality, but some of the new phones are really amazing!

Sony Ericsson is working on a 12MP camera phone

SE makes great phones, and their cameras aren't too shabby either. A lot of work would go into the post though.

Not really; least of my concern. Be careful you will start the whole camera quality/photograher quality debate.

IMO, most either care a bunch, or not at all about quality, as long as they can recognize the subjects in the image.

I was shooting HS football on the sidelines this year when I looked over and saw Tony Romo standing about 20 feet from me. Here I am with a monopod, 2 bodies, 2 strobes, and 4 lenses around my neck/on my waist, and what do I do? Pulll out my camera phone so I can send a shot to my wife because she doesn't believe me when I tell her over the phone.

I took some "legit" shots, too, but I sure felt foolish using that camera phone when I had about $10k worth of camera gear hanging off of me.

I was driving around white rock lake the other day and I ssw a small group of people on the jog trail gathered around something. Turns out a young Redtail hawk had just killed a coot and they were taking photos with their cell phones. They were all standing within just a few feet of the bird arms outstretched cell phone in hand, the bird did fly off for a bit more secluded lunching area but they probably had some good closeups. Of course, it flew off just as I pull out my camera, so yeah I was cussing the cell phone group. Turns out I was still able to get some photos of the bird and his lunch, but I sure would have liked to have gotten them where he was first sitting.

I was at the TPPA conference in Arlington a while back. Yeah that's the one.
It was a large banquet/lecture hall with several hundred professional photographers gathered to hear Hanson Fong teach about posing.
Hanson would set the models up, and as I watched from the back wall, a couple of dozen cell phones would light up the darkened room, held high overhead and captured the set up. I was rolling on the floor laughing.
