Irving ISD Media & Technology Contest - 12-17-2008, 08:17 AM

Hello all,

This makes the third year I am coming to the TPF community asking for your assistance with a student project that the Irving ISD is conducting. We host a district-wide media and technology contest in which students create and submit pieces in: Digital Audio, Digital Video, Digital Graphics, Website Design and Photography. For the last three years the entries have been judged online by media professionals from around the world.

Well, its time for this year's contest and I am asking for your cooperation again. We need some judges! We would love to have people from all over Texas and across the world judge the entries, so help spread the word!

Again, the entry categories open for online judging are:

digital photography
digital audio
digital video
original illustrated art
product design
website design

If you have some expertise in any of these areas we would love for you to help us out and leave the students some constructive comments to help them improve… or forward this information on to a friend. The entrants range from pre-Kindergarten through adults, so there are a variety of ability levels.

The purpose of us extending the judging to those outside of the district is to hopefully get some feedback for our students from those of you practicing these technology/creative skills (either as a profession or a hobby). So, judge as many entries as you like.

Judging will be openthrough January 4, 2009. Here is the link to the entries: http://www.irvingisd.net/mediafaironline/judging

Thank you SO MUCH for participating. If you need to contact me, my email address is dwilson@irvingisd.net and my cell is 214-226-1672. Any help you could offer would be GREATLY appreciated. I'll keep you posted as we progress. Thanks in advance.

of our yunger guns in digital photo.

PIC,

Thanks for judging....escpecially for taking the time to comment on so many. Your time is very much appreciated.

Yes, seeing what kids are doing with technology is cool...one of the perks of being able to help facilite the contest.

I'd like to thank you all again for taking time judge our student entries. Online judging closed yesterday and we had tremendous participation once again this year.

In a week or so, we will have all of the winning entries posted for all to see.

Thanks and have a great day!
