So, how did I do? - 12-17-2008, 08:23 AM

Was browsing on Cl last-night and came across an add for a D200 with lenses and accessories. Here is what all I got:

Includes:
Nikon D200
USB Cord
Carrying Bag
MB-D200 battery pack w/ 2 extra batteries
Nikon Speedlight SB-600
3 Hoya 72MM +1,+2,+4 Circular Polarizing Filter
Nikon lens AF-S Nikkor 16-85mm 1:3.5-5.6G VR ED
Nikon lens AF-S Nikkor 18-70mm 1:3.5-4.5G ED

Picked it all up for $500. Not a scratch on it or anything. I didn't really really need it since I just got a D90, but it just seemed to be a good deal!

The lady told me she had about 30 e-mails in the first 15 minutes that it was posted, but I was the first one to respond.

for 500 that looks like a decent deal

you could probably part some of that out and make a small profit on it to be honest

Yeah Seriously, that's a great deal- sell a lens and the flash and you could easily make half what you spent. The 18-70 is a great and sharp lens, but I hear good things about the 16-85 (plus it has VR). Are you keeping them both?

Probably going to get rid of the SB-600 and the 18-70 since I already have them.

Yeah you should be able to get 2-250 for those. Nice job!

the 16-85 is my workhorse lens. It's a fantastically sharp lens and produces very nice colors. It's not a fixed aperture, but I don't need that for the landscapes that I shoot.

I think I spent ~$550 on that lens new.
