Not yet, but I would love for the work to be shown in SA. (And Houston, Austin, Ft. Worth, etc.) :

Now that we've gained a little "street cred" by having some exhibitions, we have plans to do some marketing to more galleries and universities. I would like, for instance, to get our stuff into the old Southwest Craft Center (it's called something else now, right?), or BlueStar, or ...

If you have any connections...

(bump)

This reception is only 2 weeks from today. If you're in DFW, mark your calendars. The New Year has caught many of us by surprise!

I promise, this is the last time I'll "shill" this show.

But hey, it's up and here it is. Come on out tomorrow evening! (or whenever you can)

Very nice indeed. Sorry I couldn't get there.

David, contact Gary Hatcher about a possible show at UT Tyler. Gary is art department chairman at the moment. Tell him Wayne said that he needs to book y'all for a show.

You can find Gary at his pottery...

This looks like great work. I've been signed up here for a while, but am just starting to dig in to TPF [New Year's resolution was to be more active in the photography world, as that's where I'm hoping to build my career].

Anyway, I'm a curator at Xnihilo Gallery in Houston. Would you please submit this to our board? I can't promise that we'll be able to show it, but I'm certain that our board would be interested in it. Thanks! Feel free to PM me if you've got any questions.

- Marc

David,

I spoke to Gary Hatcher today. He said to please contact him. Gary said that the University tries to make gallery exhibits part of a learning experience which might include lectures, workshops, hands on instuction, etc. Sounds perfect for you all.

Gary also suggested contacting the Longview Museum of Fine Art and the Museum of East Texas in Lufkin. Longview also has a history museum that may be interested from a historical point of view.

One last thing Gary said, "Film isn't going away." Nice to hear from someone who isn't actively involved in photography.

Good luck!
