When I was in New Mexico, I saw wonderful night scenes, lit only by the light of the full moon. I regret that I did not get images of my nude posed in the light of the full moon, but I haven't had much success photographing anything in such low light. I like the mysterious, powerful mood that I feel when I'm in such scenes. Does anyone have any ideas how I might capture it?

A canon 5D and 50/1.0L will do it just fine. Full moon behind clouds handheld.

Remember the sensor will see color which you eyes won't.

A little slower lens on a tripod 24L of a moon set with clouds.

Moon shadows.

Richard,

Go play man. You have a digital camera right? Then whip it out and play. See what you get. You'll learn. If you don't like it change something and try again. You don't have to know how to "do it right." Just do something!

Back in the old days, when you shot something you had to wait till you went inside and processed the film to know if you got anything. Today feedback is immediate if you know how to interpret what you see on the histogram and the camera's LCD monitor.

I would recommend a tripod. But after that GO PLAY!
Then share with us what you have done and we will tell you what you did wrong.
