Long time no talk :D - 12-28-2008, 08:06 AM

How is everyone? Well I hope.
Things have been crazy here. Business was/is going well. Obviously slow right now, hence the reason I am on here lol.
All 4 of my grandparents are sick and been in the hospital within 2 weeks of each other. Those 2 weeks I was about to go crazy literally.
They are all "OK" considering, but one has to have surgery or she will die and the hospital won't approve the surgery because the Dr has only ever performed it on pigs And she refuses to go to some where like Duke or UNC.
Any way the Navy sent DH home for Christmas (Nice surprise we weren't expecting) Something about it being a precom etc... I found the instruction and we found out he gets one more trip back before the ship leaves. So we are extremely greatful for that.
Instead of going to NC we went to the Poconos again, he wanted to ski. His family was pissed, but oh well such is life. We remembered about 2 hours into the trip why we ALWAYS stay home for Christmas lol. Traffic was horrible on Sat going up (or so we thought)
Coming back Friday though it was far worse. We left Philli just after 10am. Supposed to be a 5hr 15 min drive. It took us 10hrs.
It was all in all a nice trip, the kids really picked up the skiing and want to make it a family tradition, we said that was fine but it won't be the week of Christmas
Oh and did I mention dh got me the Tamron 17-50mm 2.8 and the 70-200mm 2.8 Sony :D
Think I am going to head out and play today since it will be in the 70's Feels like we are back in TX.

BTW Would love to meet up with any of you heading to Imaging USA.

Thanks Tom
So far it has been better than our previous 3 years here. Minus the neighbor and her son.
As for the ship he likes it, will like it much better when everyone is qualed and out of the shipyards.
The kids and I plan to head to Charleston for the commissioning in April. Jealous they are supposed to be stopping in St Lucia before getting there though. :P
As for friends no not really. I have met many clients who have stayed in touch, and met up with a few folks we have met at previous commands but that is about it.
The one lady I thought I would get along with just isn't working out, cause apparently she is abusing the benefits and taking the government for a ride. Still trying to figure out how to play this one out. Thank god her dh isn't mines Chief and in no way affiliated.
Thanks for asking and I will stick around just not so active as things are crazy and the year looks to be somewhat busy for me. Huge plus as it will fly by and we will have about 6 months left here when it is all said and done.

Will definately do that. :D
He kept going I don't know what to get you yet I had emailed several things to him. Those included but to his defense I did say the two sonys were a lot of money. He was going to get the other sony thats 1699 too what is it 24-70 or what ever ?(I have looked at so many that my head was spinning and I can't keep them apart lol) But I told him that was way too much money to drop right now. So I finally agreed to the 17-50mm lol much harder to say no when standing there with it in your hand

yeah I know :P
I just have info in there I don't want to get rid of.
I just cleaned out my business emails and working on getting the new one set up. That took a couple of days. While things are slow maybe I can email the info to myself too lol.
