Slave labor comes to the US, and check out the story, this one had a happy ending, most do not. Hard to believe, but it shows we must not be complaisant about things like this.

That is horrible!

I would like to be able to say that I couldn't believe that people would do such a thing to another human being, but I know better.

The first thing I noticed in the article was where the couple was from, Egypt. Its not right, but other cultures look at things differently than we do.

Wow, I never imagined that people were getting away with child slavery in the U.S. It's so sad that she thought this was normal, how could she know? How can someone treat a child like some machine that just does chores for them and then dote on their own children?

Thanks for the link. It's good to be aware of things like this.

I think it should read "Child slavery returns to the U.S." Don't forget this was once the law of the land. And the fact is, people often don't see things for what they are. My wife and I had been living in my old home for at least four years before she understood what I meant when I said "the lot lizards were headed to work" as the same three women walked past our home every evening.
