Seeking Sony Shooters

Hello, I was talking to a fellow Sony shooter (GroovyOne aka Keith) and we mentioned that it would be great to have a get together with other local Sony shooters. We tend to be a rarity and it would be nice to build a network of fellow Sony Shooters.


So we are looking for a date that would work for the majority and a location that would be fun to shoot.

Any other Sony Shooters interested?

We will not exclude other shooters!!! I have actually been known to hang out with Nikon, Canon & Pentax shooters...

I was thinking meet, greet, shoot & food.

I am not available the following days:
1/18 - Taekwondo shoot
1/23-1/25 - Pirate ship shootout

I'll be able to bring my A900 and lenses if any other Sony shooters want to check them out.

Even if you can't get together, but shoot Sony/Minolta, please post here and what model. This could become a good resource for any A-mounters who may have questions.

My gear is listed below and I have owned an A100 and A700, both sold to friends. Another friend just got an A200.

Mercer is a pretty good place to meet because it's free and there's plenty of room. They require all photographers to sign in at the office, but it is not a big deal.

I may have to quit going there however, because every time I have gone, there have been nothing but A mount shooters.

I think the Zoo would be a good one. That would be one I could bring the family along.

I'm out on the 24th because of the Pirate Ship Shoot and the 17th is my Son's birthday party.

I am going to try and at least come hang out for the Pirate Shoot, so I'll see some of you there. I'll bring the A900, 24-70Z, 16mm fish and 135 f1.8 Z at a minimum.
