Rumors rampant before, but apparently official that Apple CEO Steve Jobs has a hormone imbalance that is causing him to lose a lot of weight. I hate to hear of anyone's health problems, but temporarily hoped that he'd go a little crazy and lower the price of the iPhone to $5.

Official word is no- Apple no longer has the need to promote at big conventions like Macworld as their marketing is doing fine in bringing customers in. And they do their own smaller product launches through the year.

My thoughts- the above is bunk- his cancer is back and things ain't so hot. They're prepping for his departure which is sad but had to happen at sometime. It'll be interesting to see what's going to happen without the great SJ as the end all be all of Apple Inc.

Agree with the above poster.

Scary how the fortunes of Apple (a pillar of the economy now it seems) rests on Jobs' health (or the perceptions of).

No way to know for sure without seeing the medical report, and that's a matter of privacy. Anything other than what Jobs reported is mere speculation, and that's how rumors get started.
