How does the price of the mask and its extras compare to a regular mask and hand held underwater equipment. I know that a case for my DSLR costs twice as much as the camera and lens.

It's all attached to the mask - the camera I can almost forgive, but the lights... geeezz..

I think it'll retail for something like $500 or so...

Still, if I strapped that thing on my face for a dive trip, i'd be laughed off the boat...

The lights are funny. Although, I know growing up when we went snorkeling at night, it would have been interesting to be able to have hands free rather than holding an underwater flashlight.

...Of course, you only get light in the direction you are looking. Which means you may have to carry a hand held anyways. LOL.

I'd give it a try. And, people laughed at the man who first used an umbrella as protection from rain.

I flip out for the first few minutes I go scuba diving every time I go scuba diving because I am claustraphobic. They always laugh at me.
