Question about gift for a 2 year old - 01-06-2009, 02:18 PM

I am looking for a good gift to give a very active 2 year old girl. For those parents out there what have you given/received to/for your 2 year old girl that they just loved....

This little girl would probably break the tea set. She is very strong...

drum set, oh wait that's for boys and only when I don't like their parents

Princess dolls, or an educational DVD, or that annoying Teletubies show

I would suggest some calgone for the parents if she's anything like my 2 year old son.

Other than that I would say a leapfrog game.

We have a ball pit the kids LOVE IT!!!! We use it both indoors and outdoors.

A babydoll is good for that age, with a stroller they love to push them.

Big giant bouncy balls.

Those were my girls favorites at that age.

I second the ball pit! I found an inflatable one at Walmart last year for my 2-year-old nephew. It was a huge hit and only $40-50. Search for "Castle Bouncer".

If that's too expensive maybe the Elefun game (shoots butterflies up in the air and you catch them with a net) or Whack-a-Mole. Those were my kids favorites.

Good luck!

Santa brought our 2 year old girl a dollhouse. It is fairly large and pretty well built from wood, including furtniture and dolls with it. She and her older sister love it. Search for "Melissa and Doug" doll house. We... I mean Santa... got it for about $60 on Amazon.

We bought a LARGE ball...like as tall as the child kind of ball....and the kids would run and thrown their bodies on it and roll off the sides of it...they loved it. It wore off some energy. They do have some playstation/xbox kind of games for kids that the kids watch the tv set and the kids have stand on one foot, jump, lean, etc. when the child on the tv set does the it. This is something she can do herself, with a parent or with another child and still be active
