Dallas PD Officer Down - 01-06-2009, 08:17 PM

Sr. Cpl. Norman Smith was shot in the face tonight at approximatley 6:30 pm while serving a search warrant. He is a long time member of the DPD Gang Unit and his wife is also a member of DPD.

There were 4 people in the apt. building when DPD was serving the warrant. 3 suspects, including the shooter are in custody.

Keep his family and colleagues in your thoughts and prayers.

This is terrible. I am so sick of gangs. I hope they get what they all deserve in due time.

Please pray for the officer's family.
