My Article on Big Bend in Int'l. Phot. Mag. - 01-07-2009, 08:19 AM

I’m greatly pleased to announce that I’ve had an article published in the premier issue of International Photographer Magazine (edited and published by Brian Patterson). The article spans 16 pages and includes 11 of my photos taken in Big Bend National Park. There’s also a short write-up by me that focuses on my shooting style and techniques. The cover photo is also mine.

Click this link, and you'll see a "preview" link near the bottom:
http://magcloud.com/browse/Issue/5852

My article starts on page 3, and the preview will show you the full article (you can't read the text, but the pics are visible).

I’m very pleased to have photos from my Big Bend project featured in a publication. I just had to share this with y'all!

That is very cool TJ. I'll bet that you've put a lot of time into this project. Beg Bend is a wonderful place. You and the park both deserve the recognition!

Very very fun! From the preview, your images are absolutely stunning! (The two-page spread, in particular, blew me away...). Congratulations!

What does "print on demand" mean? Were you paid?

"Print on demand" used to mean, back in the '90s, that copies of a publication would be printed as customer's requested them. Another term is "book on demand." This was supposed to be of most benefit to small publishing runs, particularly individuals who wrote and published their own work.

That's exactly right. Tends to cost a little more (at least in this case) but it's much more green
